[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: POV-RED: The Geonomist
Hi, Male, Jeff here; When Fox was running for president, I was living in Mexico. At his rally in Zihuatanejo, I got this far from him. It was very exciting and amusing how people treated him like a rock start, women screaming and everything (paid or not, none of the other parties could muster such enthusiasm). He even praised Alaska for paying a Citizens Dividend from oil, noting Mexico should do so also. Later, once in office, his tax policy disappointed me greatly, especially after his party (PAN) in BC (Baja California) was employing a geonomic idea (shifting the property tax off buildings, onto land) with much success for residents. I talked to everyone I could in PAN, but no one high enough to have any affect. Since returning to the States, I've been trying to keep up with Mexican politics, but it's not easy here. So many thanks for the update, and for passing on my article. If there's anything we can do to help in any way, just let me know. SMITH, Jeffery J.
