[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: POV-RED: poverty reduction: two questions that you could ponder over
Dear Mark,
I am Male Oliveros, from México.
I want to answer to the questions you've sent us.
1. About ESOPs in developing countries, I am convinced that ESOPs have not
a relevant place, in the strategies for poverty reduction in México. And as
far as can see in developing countries. Most of the people in my country,
work in underemployement conditions,(more than half the population).
Coops and other sharing property legal figures are those to work as
strategies for ownership distribution in poverty reduction. In the country
side, the special case of Ejido Land, were land is distributed among more
than a million people, and which is threatened to disapear, I think is a
special place to work to keep the land in the hands of poor people, and if
it is properly worked, to reduce poverty.
2. If we talk about strategies, the very strategy, at the bottom of all
others is "first class education", in all its forms. Without this
everything is waste of time. Share ownership in the working place, is a
very good school for it.
happy new year! Male Oliveros.
