Replying to Keith--Re: OWNERSHIP: Ownership Moderator

Would not Carey's book be considered unspeakable
heresy by our True Believers--Kurland, Shakespeare,
Reiners, et al.? And if this were a real discussion
forum, rather than the intended propaganda outlet for
a particular viewpoint, wouldn't it be something we
would want to discuss? I would certainly like to
discuss the book, and invite you to lead the
discussion--perhaps at the Social Credit list.

Keith, the issue before us right now in this
particular forum is not moderation. It has never been
about moderation. I am in favor of moderation.

It all depends on the competence, diligence and
impartiality of the moderator, however, in guiding
meaningful discussion.

It is not moderation--certainly not by the dictionary
definition of the word--to suddenly appoint a
"moderator" to a ongoing discussion that has not been
previously moderated, to go through several years of
achives accessible to the general public through the
Internet, redacting messages he and his fellow
conspirators deem "offensive."

It does indeed raise First Amendment issues, inasmuch
as the Ford Foundation, Kent State University, and COG
are federally tax-exempt organizations--and this is
after all a political forum.

Redacting his messages posted through the years and/or
excluding a discussant from future postings might well
conceivably jeopardize their tax-exempt status, I'm
sure they know, as well as possibly generate a lot of
bad publicity in the process.

I'm also sure that Kurland, being a lawyer, knows it
too. He's just trying to intimidate, as is his style.

We all know that.

And we all know what's really going on.
