You might consider several moderators who could alternate monthly or on some other timetable, since Ownership is by far the most active forum in COG~~Steve Nieman _____________________ On Jul 8, 2005, at 5:25 AM, Dan Bell wrote: > Dear Rodney, > > Are you volunteering your services as a moderator? > > Dan > > At 08:14 AM 7/8/2005 +0100, you wrote: >> Dear Dan, >> The present position is ridiculous. >> >> The Ownership elist should have a moderator as the other elists do. >> >> Right the way round the internet, other elists have found that at >> some >> point there comes a need for a moderator. >> >> Rodney Shakespeare. >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: "Dan Bell" <dbell@kent.edu> >> To: <ownership@cog.kent.edu> >> Sent: Thursday, July 07, 2005 4:26 PM >> Subject: OWNERSHIP: Clarification >> >> >> > Dear Subscribers to the Economics of Ownership Group, >> > >> > All existing COG Groups, with the exception of this one, have a >> named >> > moderator, >> > who is responsible for clarifying and monitoring acceptable conduct. >> > >> > In 2001, when the hostility in this discussion provoked calls for >> ousting >> > participants, >> > we offered the opportunity for participants to create an >> alternative group >> > with a >> > moderator who would set and enforce rules.
