Eric,
The letter is, in my opinion, ignorant and in
exceedingly bad taste. I have worked and socialized with Philipinos and
have found them to be quite pleasant in most cases. As with all peoples,
you will find numerous sorts from good to bad and it is most unfair to render
blanket judgements such as are made in this letter. The author will have
to accept responsibiIity for his statements and I expect that few intelligent
people will respect such a diatribe.
I appreciated your comments about the manner
in which economic privation often forces people into unfortunate and undesirable
activities as a means of mere survival--sometimes perceived and often quite
real. In the past, and often today, the economic dependence of women
has been demeaning and has placed them often at a disadvantage where they were
not accorded the security and respect to which they were entitled.
This is a very important aspect of Social Credit which recognizes that
every individual has a rightful beneficial share in the communal capital.
No one should be compelled by economic necessity to comply with the dictates of
anyone else in a way that violates their moral values. Everyone should
enjoy freedom of choice in making decisions about their own lives without
suffering the threat, or actuality, of economic privation as a penalty for
making their own free choices in life.
Might I add that we in the West (the United States
being a prime example) allow our efforts to be prostituted in the form of
horrible military actions resulting in great death and destruction
of weaker nations primarily, as Social Credit teaches, because we
allow ourselves to operate under a false sysem of financial accountancy
which causes a growing deficiency of consumer income--which can only
be made up by engagement in increasingly wasteful and destructive activity
in order to distribute income which is required to purchase past
production. Quite insane, really--and equally evil.
Sincerely
Wally
