Re: MONETARY: Discussion of Monetary Reform
Dear Mr. Dan Parker, I'm writing on behalf of Solomons Social Credit Party which I co-founded with the former Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, Manasseh Sogavare, in July 2003 and of which since then now becomes the fastest growing political party in the country in term of memberships that already exceeds 10,000 members. There will be a National Parliamentary Election in the Solomon Islands this coming 5th April 2006 for the 50 parliamentary seats of which you need to secure 26-seats to control the Government. We nominated 30 candidates for 30 constituencies due to limited funding that we have but we believe that all of our candidates can win the forthcoming election if we have enough funds to send more volunteers to those constituencies to educate the people about the 'monetary reform' we are advocating once we win the election. The voters are now waiting for our volunteers to
visit them at their villages and communities. For a successful campaign, SoCred Party still needs around USD-$50,000 - USD-$100,000 not later than 15th March 2006 to enable us to move further. Is there any way the members of global justice governments and of other associated associations that we have can support us financially of whatever amount they can send to SoCred Party to realize a genuine monetary reform that all of us are advocating? I will provide the bank account of SoCred Party to anyone who can assist us financially upon their request for that bank account. Please circulate this memo to all of our colleagues and other friends who are advocating for a monetary reform in this world. Further information about the Solomons Social Credit Party [SoCred Party] please go to: google.com.sb and search for solomon social credit
party. Best regards, Sri Ramon Jun QUITALES, ll Secretary-General SoCred Party P.O. Box 1349 Honiara City Solomon Islands Phone: +677-22-320 Fax: +677-27-509 Mobile: +677-95-888 email: solomonsocialcredit@yahoo.com.au

Having communicated with Rodney Shakespeare, and having read the book he co-wrote with Peter Challen (who heads the Christian Council for Monetary Justice), I can say that he, along with
many of us, are aware of the monetary dynamics you so poetically describe.
The bigger question is how best to advance monetary reform. We are engaged in a variety of efforts. I self- publish a magazine, do the website for the Alberta Social Credit Party and also one for Global Justice. As well we have had city councils pass resolutions calling for the creation of interest-free money etc.
I think it is important to try to bring a lot of these ideas together to create synergy, which is needed due to the resources of the opposition. We have put enough resources together to effectively educate.
