Re: MONETARY: LOCAL CURRENCIES IN THE 21ST CENTURY
Anyone can found a party, at least in the United States. If we had proportional representation at the state and local level, or even at the national level in the House, such a party would assure that Muslims would vote. Better an Islamic Democratic Party than an Islamic Republican Party (that would be scary).

DP: Al, I am aware of the makeup and attitude of Christian Democratic parties in such countries as Germany. If I am reading you
correctly above, you are saying that the movement is pluralistic, excepting it is founded in Christian public philosophy; and that a party could be founded with a theocratic name, as long as it has nothing to do with theocracy. Keeping in mind that one does not have to be, for example, a Muslim to espouse ideals grounded in Islamic public philosophy, would you support a party being named the Islamic Democratic Party? If not, why not?
