Dear Monetary Reform members,
Wally Klinck says "I
have no problem with "monetary reform"--Douglas himself said it was the priority
item in working toward a Social Credit society. But the danger is in
getting off on the wrong type of "monetary reform........".
Yes. Wally's statement is
clear that the issue is monetary reform. And so we must explain exactly
what proposals are meant by the term. Wally's text seems to indicate
that he thinks the Socred National Dividend) debt-free
(non-repayable) issuance is necessary to balance the interest-free
(repayable and cancellable) issuance of money for productive purposes. If
I have interpreted Wally's remarks accurately, then he is stating the main idea
in the Seven Steps to Justice -- interest-free money for productive purpose
(including wide ownership) which is essentially counter-inflationary, with
debt-free money issuance to keep a stable level of prices.
