[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: research issues
Hello all, The quick answer of why it is taking so long for the ownership movement to get off the ground is that too few have read seriously the main writings that explain "why" broadened ownership is needed to make the global economy work. Most proponents remain focussed on the "how", but the "how's" only make sense when people understand the "why's." For those interested in the reasons and principles underlying the ESOP, click on Book Review of Binary Economics and then carefully read the book. This will explain why people in this movement are still talking past each other. Also read chapter 18 of Bill Greider's book, "One World, Ready or Not", which, for those who are interested, is reviewed in the Winter 1997 issue of CESJ's Economic Justice Monitor. Dan Bell has suggested a new discussion group on "The Economics of Ownership" to look at these issues. Let us know if you are interested in participating in such a group.
