[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Comments on EO Trans Draft Paper
To: Steve Clem and EO Trans Group Re: COG Transnational Corps. Paper Date: 10/6/00 This paper is a good start. Can this group reach out to people involved more directly in these agencies to get their participation in this discussion? Do Vic, Karen, Shann, or others have contacts in either global agencies or activist groups who might participate in this discussion around questions of priorities and strategies? Following are several suggestions regarding this paper. 1) There are more recent resource articles about global corporate employee ownership than Manson’s 1996 article. See NCEO Journal of Employee Ownership Vol 10, No.2, Spring 1998, which has 4 articles; Rousseau’s article in Vol. 11, No.4, Fall 1999, Vol.12, No.3, Summer 2000 Morrison and Adams article. There is also the Vol.7, No.4 Fall 1995 issue which has older articles about EO is many countries. I think these should be in the bibliography to this article and the newer material should be discussed. 2) You should call or email this article to Ryan Weeden at NCEO and seek his comments. He is the person at NCEO setting up the multi-national website and serving as liaison between NCEO, GEO and EFES. 3) I’d like you to remove some of the tentative language such as “kind of see” p.2, “about as good an endorsement” p.7. You may need to do more research to be able to make more definitive statements. 4) P.13 What does “$(1) 8” trillion and “$(4) 3” trillion mean? 5) The paper needs a conclusion discussing what the EO Trans group can do to further develop the ideas or strategies discussed therein.
