Re: Local Currency Article

Paul, you have totally misunderstood my position.  Where do you find anything in my tax or monetary proposals that are "at the expense of the rich", other than to level the playing field on future ownership opportunities?  Please be specific.  See http://www.cesj.org/homestead/reforms/tax/taxjustice.html

If you think it is just to maintain the present exclusionary system that perpetuates a virtual monopoly of access to future ownership opportunities among the wealthiest Americans, then I think you should come out and say so.  But again, your tax proposals ignore the growing wealth gap between the rich and the poor, unless I misunderstand your proposal.

Just to remind you, Paul, the COG discussions are about ownership and your proposal is irrelevant to that subject.  Moreover, this panel is supposed to be on ownership policies at levels below the national level.  I fail to see how you are addressing that issue.

We already have a two tiered society it consists of those who have and those who have not the rich and the poor. You are proposing to raise the poor to a level higher than they are now but at the expense of the rich. There is no way that this can be called fair and equal. The way to achieve fairness and equality is to have a free economy in the paradigm of Adam Smith in his book "The Wealth of Nations."  Paul Bottis
