Why assume that the Tobin Tax is a good idea?  If an informed society can 
create money for sustainable growth linked to broad-based ownership, why add 
friction to
that process?  The Tobin tax diverts people from the the issue of capital 
homesteading as an alternate means for solving the world's income and wealth 
gap.
