EFES: Re: people who have unsubscribed from the efes list

Dear Dan,
I asked you about your own experience compared to the problems we had with
EFES forum, some days ago.
You answered that, when you started the COG list years ago, you had a
similar problem.
I think EFES forum list is right now, and nothing should be changed in the
settings. So please, don't change anything.
I had a personal contact with people who asked to be unlisted, and we
clarified.
Their feeling was really that they were disturbed with dozens wrong
unsollicited messages. It is true that 350 people are a lot !!
My real problem is that:
- I sent messages about the European (Lisbon) Strategy for (?) employee
ownership.
- Nothing serious appears in European Institutions' will, about employee
ownership.
- At the contrary, I can see very good things in the US, in Australia, in
South Africa, etc.
- And mainly: I didn't get any opinion about that through the forum, until
now.
- So, I confirm that I and my team feel alone in Brussels.
- With my team in Brussels, I am convinced to do good things. But when we
feel alone, we have a problem. People alone in Brussels can make real work.
But this work is lower than zero when people are not supporting from
European countries.

When I first started the COG list years ago, I had a similar problem. I had
subscribed
people without their permission and their replies to COGALL went to
everyone on the
list. I changed COGALL to a one-way list for announcements.

As for the EFES list, it was set up to be a discussion list. We can change
the settings
so that all messages are first approved by the moderator (you). Let me know
if you
want to do that.
