[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: EFES: About EFES mailing list
To be fair, Erkki, an email discussion list is what I thought I had joined, like several others at COG that I subscribe to. I just thought it was comparatively quiet compared with the US based discussions at COG. Anyway, to Dan, it seems clear to me that lots of people don't actually understand the concept. Perhaps it would calm things down a little if you could set the "reply-to" setting in the Majordomo settings to "originator" rather than "list" or however it is that majordomo does it, then people would need to think and positively decide to reply to the list but would default to replying to the sender of the message and we wouldn't get to see all these messages? For a while at least, until enough people get into discussions such that this setting becomes more annoying then receiving administravia to the list, hopefully! I don't know of course your level of expertise, but can help if you like - we use Majordomo here and I am reasonably confident with its commands and so on.
