EFES: About EFES mailing list

Here's some basic points:

We are receiving these messages because EFES is trying to start a 
mailing list. That means when I have a question, suggestion, proposal, 
whatever about Employee Ownership, I send a message to 
efes@cog.kent.edu and everybody on that subscribtion list reveives that 
message. And everybody can answer, argue, whatever, my proposal. It's 
an old kind of email conversation.

The point is that I don't even have to know all of you, but am able to 
consult anyone who wishes/can to contribute.

But as the EFES list is basically subscription list, only those who 
wish to do so, receive the messages. Unsubscribing is pretty simple as 
Jock Coats pointed out. The problem here is that EFES started this 
without asking our permission to add us to the list.

Perhaps it is time to start a discussion forum on the net. Something 
like this: http://www.freewayforum.com/forum/index.php

These forums are very easy to set up and maintain. And the software 
used is free.

One can even create areas of the forum for only EFES members and some 
areas that are open to all.

The main point being that one doesn't get extra email messages and can 
browse/participate in the forum on our own pace.
